It strikes me that as a culture we now have accepted the idea that the difficulties moms and dads face are “just element of increasing a young childthat they need to succeed”—that it’s not imperative for all children to have access to the high-quality early care.

I might want to offer working parents an awareness that they’re not the only one in their experience—that there are countless others like them who wish to be great moms and dads but they are struggling to offer their children whatever they need.Continue reading
